Wed, Jan 30 grammar in the lab




Today we are in the lab, working on some some sentence structure exercises. If you are absent, you are responsible for the following: avoiding fragments, avoiding comma splices, subject verb agreement, pronoun antecedent, pronoun case adn tense consistentcy. You should complete the first exercise for each of these. On Friday, you will have an in class assessment on this material, which will be taken directly from the other sample exercises in these categories.

ASSIGNMENT FOR THURSDAY, JANUARY 31 please read Henry David Thoreau's Walden. Below you will find your name with a quote from the text. On Thursday you will explain to the class Thoreau's words 1) within the context of Walden and 2) applying it to concrete contemporary example.
