In class: writing your thematic essay. Bring along your graphic organizer, and I'll give your edited introductions.
ESSAY: Discuss T.S. Eliot's theme of (you already made the choice- loneliness, indecision, inadequacy or pessimism), in his dramatic monologue "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" using text evidence to support your thesis. You should all have a corrected introduction. This is due at the end of class.
Note that your graphic organizer and preface responses from The Great Gatsby were your last grades of marking period 5. Lots of A's this term. This essay will go in marking period 6.
Due Friday: having read through chapter 2 of F.Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. (expect a content quiz)
